Association

BIU was established in early 2005 in Frankfurt am Main. The founding members of BIU created the following objectives as the association’s mission statement:

• Promoting communication about computer and video games in public
• Developing measures for the promotion of media competence as well as the protection of minors
• Fighting software piracy
• Supporting exhibitions relevant to the interactive software business
