Dr. Maximilian Schenk

Managing Director of BIU

Dr. Maximilian Schenk is Managing Director of BIU. Before taking up this position, he was Director Operations and member of the management team of the VZ networks meinVZ, schülerVZ and studiVZ in Berlin, where he was in charge of their legal departments. For several years Schenk worked as a lawyer in the Berlin office of the Sozietaet von Boetticher Hasse Lohmann in Berlin, also for the European Harmonisation Office (HABM) in Alicante, Spain and for the University of Constance. In addition to his enthusiasm for the media industry in general and games in particular, the doctor of law specialises in media law, IT law, competition law, youth protection law and data protection law and also works in these areas as a lecturer and author. Schenk is married and has a daughter.
