Memberships

Of upmost importance are our relationships with other institutions that are involved in representing the concerns of our members. Therefore, BIU is a member in the following organisations:

ISFE Interactive Software Federation of Europe

BIU is a member of the European publisher association (ISFE).  Located in Brussels, ISFE represents the interests of publishers within Europe. With our membership, we assure that the interests of the German publishers are acknowledged within an international forum. By supporting our European colleagues, we seek to further promote our business sector.

GVU Gesellschaft zur Verfolgung von Urheberrechtsverletzungen e.V.

Regarding software piracy, we cooperate with GVU (German Federation Against Copyright Theft). Since 1984, GVU supports the authorities responsible for the investigation and prosecution of misuse of film and entertainment software. As a member of GVU, we support their successful work.
